If you were an American man in the 40′s and 50′s, a trip to Havana marked a rite of passage. A week in Cuba changed your life in ways that only men will understand.

I had two uncles who told their Havana stories from time to time as I was growing up. Their tales of the sensual music, great cigars, beautiful beaches and, most of all, the Cuban woman, stuck with me.

And, of course, Havana was home for many years to Ernest Hemingway. Enough said.

Now that so many men have broadened their dating horizons and consider the world, not just their own country, as the playing field, Cuba has once again drawn the attention of discerning and appreciative men.

Little wonder. Even the words “Havana” and “Cuba” ring with exotica, mystery, and the promise of great and unspoken pleasures.
